Description (last modified by sasa@…) (diff)

Hello,

I would first like to thank you for making this great package and giving it for free to the community.

We tried to install it on two of our development servers today and installation went fine but the package didn't work. We couldn't see the new icon on the File Management page.

We then downloaded source code of the FastUpload plugin and debugged it to see why it doesn't work. Here are our findings:

  1. In line 54 of FastUploadPlugin.cs you check if URL of request contains "actionwindow" or "filemanagerbrowser" - we debugged your package against two different installations of EPiServer CMS (both standard installations) and URL didn't contain "actionwindow" or "filemanagerbrowser"; the URL had "filemanagement.aspx" instead.
  2. We then commented out the lines 54 and 55, rebuilt the package but it still didn't work. We then noticed that in your script you try to get a reference to a button with this selector:
    $('#ctl00_FullRegion_ctl01_virtualPathFileManager_browsemode2_UploadFileButton')

But after inspecting the HTML of the rendered page we noticed that the ID of this button is different. The ID was

"ctl00_FullRegion__InnerControl_virtualPathFileManager_browsemode2_UploadFileButton"

you can see that the difference is that instead of "ctl01" we have "_InnerControl".

Would it be possible for you to update line 54 and support "filemanagement" as well? And can you maybe change your jQuery selector to use something like

$('input[id$=UploadFileButton]')

to get the input whose ID ends with UploadFileButton?

I guess these differences are coming from different version of EPiServer CMS 6.

Let me know if you need more info from me regarding the found issues.

Regards,
Sasa
