email in <meta> tag

Reported by: fredrik.richtner@… Owned by: lars.oyvind.bodahl@…
Priority: major Component: EmailObfuscator
Keywords: Cc:

Description

I have a case where we have email addresses in <meta> tags.

Example:
<meta name="abc" content="foo@…" />

EmailObfuscator does not handle this case. Instead junk characters '"/>' are added to the output.

It would be great if EmailObfuscator could handle this.

Regards
Fredrik

Hmmmm. It is looking for an <a>...</a> tag. You could have a look at the reg.exp searching for the email address. I will have a look at it tomorrow to see if I can find a more generic reg.exp.

For email addresses contained in <meta> tags it is not the regex for <a>...</a> tags that match. It is the regex for mailtext (generic rule) that match.
I can see in code that obfuscation of email adresses inside <input> tags are suppressed.
If you could either also suppress obfuscation of email adresses inside <meta> tags or much better find a way to obfuscatate these.

Thomas Leela fixed this in revision 2282. We do not obfuscate email addresses inside the <head> tag
