I've updated the wiki with more information. (https://www.coderesort.com/p/epicode/wiki/Epinova.EmailObfuscator)

The images are automatically generated and replaced when the page is loaded.

Hej,

Jeg har gjort som beskrevet, stadig uden held.
Jeg har vedhæftet mit test website, lavet i VS 2010.
Kan du/i se på det og fortælle mig hvad der er galt.

Med venlig hilsen Peter

I have created a test website as described, with no success.
I have attached the solution, can you have a look at it and tell me whats wrong.

My steps

  • Added dlls from compiled version of Epinova.EmailObfuscator
  • Added changes to web.config
  • Added a emailObfuscator.config
  • Added this text in default.aspx: <a href="mailto:test@…">test@…</a>

I'll write in english since others might have the same problem :)

I've downloaded your code and ran it on my computer. It gives the following code when i do view source:

<div><img id='Eoi_1' class='obfimg' src='/emailimages/f1dea85da43b89ef7adf6ac62bde6db5.png' alt= /><script type="text/javascript"><!--document.write(dc('Eoi_1', 'C6F8A7E9FAADA2E8B2B5A3B286B2B5A3B2F8E4ADA2E8B2B5A3B286B2B5A3B2FCA9B2AAAFA7ABE4FBA0A3B4AEE6A7FA'));//--></script></div>

Two things you should be aware of:
1)
Run the site in IIS so you can access your site as an anonymous user. It will not obfuscate if you are authenticated.
2)
Do NOT use inspect element in chrome/firefox/ie The http handler does its magic too late for those tools to see it. Right click you page and do a "View source" instead!

Perfect, this 'Run the site in IIS so you can access your site as an anonymous user' solved it.
